•  I help run Money's trending desk, keeping my finger on the pulse of personal finance news so I can pitch, assign and edit briefs from a team of reporters every day. In addition, I oversee our tax coverage and update evergreen guiding content stories.

•  I also write Dollar Scholar, a weekly newsletter for young people that demystifies complex personal finance topics with the help of memes and cute animals. (Join 150,000 subscribers at money.com/dollarscholar.)

•  Identified smart angles into larger news stories and executed them, most notably leading Money's coverage of the COVID-19 stimulus checks. Juggled a mix of digital cover stories and shorter service pieces with a consumer focus.

•  Served as a general assignment reporter, pitching and writing interesting personal finance-related stories about the news of the day and broader trends for both the Web and the print magazine. This meant working on profiles, conducting celebrity Q&As and assisting with data-driven projects like Money’s Best Colleges rankings.

•  Managed morale and met daily with top editors to determine coverage.

•  As a reporter from October 2014 through October 2016, wrote three to five pieces a week on the youth affairs beat, analyzing everything from Common Core to Miley Cyrus’ sexuality. Juggled beat work with general breaking news stories, most notably becoming the go-to person for school shootings.
